Team EQ

A guided, team-wide EQ improvement cycle. Your team finds one shared behavior to work on, practices it for 30 days, then reflects and decides what comes next.

How it works

01

Private discovery

Each member answers nine questions, with Paige asking follow-ups. Leaders can see who has finished, never what anyone said.

02

Shared understanding

Paige pulls out common themes and possible goals for the team, with extra privacy protections for small teams.

03

Team agreement

Members privately say whether they're ready. A goal is chosen only when at least 70% are ready, nobody is “not ready,” and concerns are acknowledged. It's the team's decision, not just the leader's.

04

30 days of practice

The team practices with an approved template, with a midpoint and a final reflection. Then they deepen the goal, pick a new one, start discovery again, or pause.

05

Limited reporting

Organization owners and admins see participation, not private discovery answers.

An illustrative cycle

What a cycle looks like

Team EQ helps teams turn honest reflection into everyday habits — one shared goal at a time.

“I should figure this out alone.”

“We can work through this together.”

Stage 1 · Discover

What's getting in the way

Six people reflect privately with Paige. A shared theme emerges: people wait too long to ask for help because they don't want to look incapable or interrupt others.

“I don't want to interrupt anyone.”
“It feels awkward to say I'm stuck.”
“I assume someone else has it handled.”
“I wait until it's urgent.”
“I don't want to look incapable.”
“I'd rather figure it out myself.”
Shared theme: “We wait too long to ask for help.”
Stage 2 · Agree

Choose a goal together

The team agrees on one shared goal. Members privately share readiness and concerns before committing — it's the team's decision, not just the leader's.

“Ask for help earlier — and respond with curiosity, not judgment.”

Six private readiness votes before the goal is set

Stage 3 · Practice

30 days of everyday practice

An illustrative practice: in team check-ins, everyone has space to name one place they're stuck. Teammates respond with “What would help?” rather than immediately giving advice.

“I'm stuck on the approval flow — I've been sitting on it for two days.”
“What would help?”

One shared intention, repeated in everyday conversations

Stage 4 · Reflect and adapt

A small adjustment mid-cycle

At the midpoint, the team notices that help requests are still vague. They agree to make requests more specific — a small adjustment along a 30-day path.

Day 15

“Help requests are still vague”

Day 30

“Could someone review this with me?”

Noticed at the midpoint, adjusted together

Stage 5 · Take it forward

The habit carries on

In the final reflection, members describe asking sooner and feeling more comfortable speaking up. The team keeps the check-in habit for its next cycle.

“I asked for help sooner this week.”
“I feel more comfortable speaking up.”
Kept: the check-in habit, carried into the next cycle

This example is illustrative, not a customer result. Reflections show how people say the work feels — they don't prove a productivity gain. In-product practice uses approved templates.
